Join us for a great evening of Community Folk Dance
We celebrate an assortment of Anglo/Celtic/Bush dances with an historical twist. Embrace your culture and join us for a fun-filled evening of dancing. It’s social and absolutely non-competitive, but you can still be part of a team as you dance to the brilliant music of our band, Phillip’s Dog.
Our vision is to connect people through folk dancing and sustain a vibrant community where everyone is welcome.

Connecting people through dance
Community dance is important now more than ever, as people look for ways to connect. It encourages people to be more active, to socialise and develop creative and physical skills. Just a few of the physical benefits dancing can give you are reduced stress levels, improved relaxation, stronger bones & muscles, weight control and a healthier brain. Research has shown that dancing is the very best form of exercise. We’re proud to be part of Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Healthy & Active which encourages us all to exercise more, and it only costs $4:00!
From February to November, the dances are generally held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month, 7:30 – 9:30pm in Samford and Arana Hills.
Bookings appreciated, but not essential.
